- If you wish to be picked up from your cruise ship, please select the “Harbor Pickup” add-on, which covers the fees imposed by Funchal’s port authority.

What to expect
On this tour you can tailor an itinerary with the help of your local guide/driver. You can choose the different areas you want to visit. The City of Funchal, the Fishing Village of Câmara de Lobos, the west sea cliffs of Cabo Girão, the unique Fajã dos Padres, the hill side village of Monte, the east coast cliffs of Garajau, the Botanical Garden, or even the breathtaking mountain views of Nuns Valley are all possible options for your tour itinerary.
You can choose to visit Funchal city, learn about its history, and see some of its iconic landmarks, like the Sé Cathedral. If you'd like to go up into the mountains, Nuns Valley might be an excellent choice to visit on this tour. Another alternative is to explore the west coast, with a ride to the fishing village of Câmara de Lobos.
You could also head up into the hills to the top of Cabo Girão cliff where, at its highest point, a glass sky-walk provides you with some breathtaking views over the south east coast and beach below. Close to Cabo Girão is Fajã do Padres, a sea side area in Madeira with no road or walking access. The only two ways to get there are by cable car ride or by boat. On the way up to Cabo Girão and Fajã dos Padres you will be able to admire an ever-changing landscape along the winding roads that fallow the natural shape of the hills. On the return trip to Funchal from the west coast you might choose to stop at the natural swimming pools of Doca do Cavacas.
Travel on to Garajau, set at the east end of the bay of Funchal. You will be offered a spectacular view of the Christ the Redeemer statue - older than the one in Brazil - whilst marveling at the crystal-clear waters on the beach below. You also have the option to visit the Botanical Garden. Whatever your choice of itinerary, your guide will be there to help you at every moment.

Free pick-up from hotels in Funchal city.
Harbor pick-up available for cruise guests (€5 per group). Select one Add-On per group under “Extras” (e.g., 2 groups = 2 Add-Ons).
For cruise pick-ups, use: “Cais de Cruzeiros Pontinha, Funchal” (Pontinha, São Martinho, 9000 Funchal, Portugal).
Important: After booking, contact the provider with your cruise ship name and confirm the pick-up address.
Driver: Will meet you at your hotel or harbor at the scheduled time. Look for a vehicle similar to the photos.
