What to expect
Meet your guide at your riad in Fes and begin exploring the historic Medina, one of the largest walled cities in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Walk through its narrow streets lined with stalls selling fresh fruit, spices, traditional Berber carpets, and Moroccan handicrafts.
Visit key landmarks including the exterior of Al Quaraouiyine Mosque and University, the Andalusian Mosque (non-Muslims cannot enter), the Nejjarine Fountain and the historic Medersas.
Stop at the famous Chouara Tanneries to observe traditional leather production methods that have remained unchanged for centuries. Continue to Souk Attarine and pass through Bab Boujloud, known for its distinctive green and blue tilework.
After a break for lunch (at your own expense), explore the Mellah (Jewish Quarter), including the 17th-century Ibn Danan Synagogue. View the Royal Palace gates and finish the tour at Borj Nord or Borj Sud, where you can enjoy panoramic views over the Medina.
