What to expect
Discover the beauty of the Sahara Desert on a 3-day tour from Agadir. Explore the Todra Gorge, ride a camel, and sandboard in the desert. Stay in a traditional riad in Tinghir and a desert camp in Merzouga.
Day 1: Agadir → Aït Benhaddou → Tinghir
Begin your journey with an early pickup in Agadir and a brief stop at a Berber village. Enjoy lunch at Aït Benhaddou and explore the kasbah. Drive east through the palm-lined Dades Valley toward Tinghir. Arrive in Tinghir and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a local riad or hotel.
Day 2: Tinghir → Todra Gorge → Merzouga
Explore the magnificent Todra Gorge and take a guided tour of the nearby oasis with a local guide. Visit the old Jewish quarter and learn traditional Berber carpet-weaving techniques. Travel through several Berber villages and stop to dress up in traditional Berber outfits. Reach the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga.
Drop off your luggage and ride camels into the dunes and sandboard toward the Sahara sunset. Arrive at your desert campsite for dinner and an overnight stay under the stars.
Day 3: Merzouga Sunrise → N’Kob → Agdez → Agadir
Watch the sunrise over Erg Chebbi and enjoy breakfast at the camp. Return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4. Take a scenic drive via N’Kob, Agdez, Tazarine, and Taliouine back to Agadir. Arrive in Agadir and be dropped off at your accommodation.
