Day 1 Arrive Lhasa. Private transfer from Lhasa Airport to the hotel

Lhasa’s cardinal landmark is the Potela Palace, once the winter residence of the Dalai Lama. The palace is an architectural wonder even by modern standards, rising 13 stories from the Red Hill and contains over
1000 rooms. There are daily tours of three stories featuring golden stupas, prayer halls and chapels, but tickets are limited. Your guide will book tickets in advance but visiting times often change, so it’s good to be
flexible
with your time to be able to enjoy this marvel. Be sure to climb the spired peak of Chakpori Hill, 3725m high located next to the palace. It offers the best panorama view of the ancient city and Potala Palace.
