Your hiking guide will pick you up at your starting point at 8:30am. After driving for about 2 hours, you will arrive at Xishanzi Village in Huairou County. After about an hour's hike through the village, you will get close to the due north tower of the Jiankou Great Wall. After another 40 minutes of hiking, you will arrive at Nyujijoben. This section of the Great Wall is steep and dangerous, with small stones falling all the time. Instead, we will bypass this section and return to the Great Wall after 15 minutes. You can take a break on the road.
Continue hiking for another 30 minutes and you'll finally arrive at Mutianyu 23 Towers, where the renovated Great Wall of China begins. At the end there is a slide rail and from here you will continue hiking for 4-5 hours. After completing your hike, have lunch at a local Chinese restaurant near the Mutianyu Great Wall.
