Dianchi lake, Dianchi Lake is also called Kunming Lake. It is the sixth largest freshwater lake in China. It has the nickname of "Sparkling Pearl Embedded in a Highland". The lake is wide and spectacular. Every winter, a large flock of red-billed gulls migrate here from Siberia, making it a good place for bird watching and bird feeding. There are different ways to explore Dianchi lake. You can stroll around the lake, cycle, or ride a boat. You can also climb up to the Dragon Gate overlooking Dianchi Lake to get a better view of the entire lake. Yunnan Nationalities Village, A beautiful and big park that reunites Yunnan’s 26 ethnic groups. Every single of Yunnan’s ethnic minority has their own village built in their own unique style. People from these ethnicities live here to show their colorful and traditional way of life, showing their rituals, dances, crafts, festivals and so on. Kunming West Hill (Xishan Forest Park), Up the western hills, cultural temples are mixed with natural cliffs, Taoist grottoes, flowers and forests. Especially when you go through the stone corridor carved into the face of the cliff, you can really imagine how dangerous and difficult work it must have been to build all this. You can visit a big Taoist Grotto close to the famous Dragon Gate and on the peak, you can enjoy a big panoramic view of Kunming. At the end of the day we will drive back to Kunming.
