・Yonezuka
On the way from Chikusa-ri to Nakadake Volcano, you can see a very important image of Aso "Yonezuka". The height is about 50 meters, and the top of the mountain is slightly caved in, shaped like an upside-down rice bowl. There is also a legend that the gods of Aso Shrine used to pile up rice here in order to help the poor. The shape of the mountain is like a pile of rice piled up into a mound, so it has the name of rice mound. Mizuka, especially in spring and summer, the whole mountain is rendered with greenery, forming a touching natural beauty.

Aso Mountain Caoqianli is a prairie located at the northern foot of Mount Wumao. There is a pond formed by rainwater in the center of the prairie. In the 20,000 hectares of endless grassland, walking leisurely in this green grassland, watching the free cattle and sheep, and breathing the fresh air in the mountains will make you feel relaxed and happy, and feel like you are in a fairyland.
・Suizenji Chengju Garden (only for Plan A)
Suizenji Joju-en is located on the site of Suizenji built in 1632 by Hosokawa Tadori, the feudal lord of Kumamoto. It is a traditional Japanese garden centered on a natural fountain. Later, his grandson Hosokawa Tsunatoshi built and reproduced part of the "Fifty-Three Tokaidos", including a small Mt. Fuji landscape and the famous road between Edo and Kyoto. ・Fruit Picking in Kumamoto (Plan B only)

The beginning of January coincides with the strawberry season here in Aso. Strawberry gardens in Aso are mostly planted on elevated grounds. In addition, Aso is located in a highland area.
