The ropeway along Kankakei Gorge is located in the central part of Shodoshima Island and has been ranked as one of the three most beautiful gorges in Japan. The ropeway offers a breathtaking view of the sky, sea, and valleys of Japan across the seasons. For those who want to view the cherry blossoms from the ropeway, the best time to visit is from mid to late April. For those who want to see the gorge covered in lush greenery, the best time to visit is from late April to early May. Meanwhile, the autumn leaves are at their most colorful throughout November.

- The number of passengers on the ropeway is reduced to maintain physical distancing (1 cable car for up to 30 passengers only)

- Alcohol bottles are available inside the station building for visitors to disinfect with
- The ropeway management carefully monitors the health status of its employees. They are also required to wear masks
- Plastic barriers have also been installed throughout the building for added protection
