There is Takachiho Gorge, which is designated as a national scenic spot and natural monument. There is a V-shaped deep canyon formed by the volcanic activity of Mount Aso in ancient times. You can also take a rental yacht to visit the bottom of the valley. (Boat fare: 2,000 yen/30 minutes/three people can ride on the boat, reservations cannot be made in advance)
