The Shotover Canyon is a beautiful natural attraction and there's no better way to take in the impressive sights of the large canyon than by clipping up and riding the Shotover Canyon Fox. Rising 182 metres high and stretching 445 metres over two zip lines, this is an epic and unforgettable experience in the Adrenaline Capital of the World. The first zip line allows you to take off from the platform whichever way you please, you can choose the Sideways Shimmy, Straight Off, Reverse Forwards, Chicken Run, Giant Strides and Return Line. Depending on how brave you're feeling will dictate which drop style you choose, either way, just know you're launching off the world's first ever launch rail for an epic dropping sensation. The return line lets you race your friend back to the reception where you can see photos from your high-speed adventure. The entire experience takes around 2 hours to complete and includes transfers to and from the drop site just outside of Queenstown. All 'Foxers' are allowed to bring their own mounted camera to film and photograph the whole experience, however, the photos are available to purchase at the conclusion. This experience is suitable for kids as young as 10 years (weighing 45 kilograms minimum) and allows for spectators to join them at the top before the launch and then back at the reception area.
