Hells Gate Geothermal Park Entry
Discover one of nature’s wonders at the Hells Gate Geothermal Park and Mud Spa. This geothermal field is known as the largest and most active in the Southern Hemisphere and you can explore the field on a tour of the reserve.
The reserve covers over 50 acres and you will see diverse plant life and scenery on the walk. Visitors can choose to between a self-guided walk with a map provided or join a guided tour of the park run twice a day. Allow 90 minutes to comprehensively see some of the hot water lakes, boiling hot pools and erupting waters.
The admission ticket also includes the chance to get your hands or feet dirty in the Hells Gate Mud Foot Pool or try Maori Carving and take home a unique souvenir.
